Getting to Monticello is easy. Bellingen is located 540km north of Sydney and 462km south
of Brisbane, and 12km west from the Pacifc Highway. The nearest regional town is Coffs Harbour,
36kms north of Bellingen or a short 30 minutes drive.
Getting to Bellingen. You can travel to Bellingen by
air, train, bus or private motor vechicle.
Travelling by air: You arrive at Coffs
Harbour Airport, 36 kms north of Bellingen. Both Qantas and Virgin
Blue fly between Sydney and Coffs Harbour. Taxis are available for onward travel to Bellingen.
Travelling by car: Bellingen is approximately halfway between Syndey and Brisbane. Most people
access the area via the Pacific Highway which has been substantially improved in the last few years. There are regular driver
revivers on the Pacific Highway during holiday times. Drive time between Bellingen and Sydney is between 6 1/4 hours
and 7 hours depending on speed and rest stops.
Travelling by train and bus: Countrylink's XPT
service departs Sydney Central at 7:15am, 11:35am, and 4:24pm each day, arriving at Urunga Train Station (14kms from Monticello)
at 3:28pm, 8:06pm and 12:34am respectively. Greyhound and McCafferty's
buses depart Sydney for Urunga daily. Please confirm all timetable details above prior to travel.

Getting around town. Monticello is an easy walk to town
and many cafes eateries, shops, a fully equipped gym, a 25m swimming pool, a 9 hole golf course, squash courts, car repairers
and much more. Taxis can also be arranged. Bicycles are available for hire from the YHA for $5 a day.
Getting to Coffs Harbour. A bus service departs Bellingen
for Coffs Harbour from Monday to Friday at 8:00am, 9:30am and 3:30pm (arriving in Coffs at 8:55am, 10:20am and 4:10pm restpectively.
Taxis can also be used to get to access Coffs.
